Hostal l'Esplai is a 2 star hostel, delightful and homely. It is located outside Viladamat, a charming town in Emporda area. L'Empordà is a magnificent region of Costa Brava where you may find nature, history, culture, gastronomy and wine. In addition of its excellent location, close from all atractions but away from crowded places, our rooms have all the services you need to enjoy a nice and comfortable stay. We have a big parking in front of the bulding which will make your stay easy and accessible. 

History - Hostal l'Esplai 

Hostal l'Esplai was built at the end of 70s. The bulding has the same structure as the beginning, even though all the rooms have been renovated and all of them have a private bathroom. The hostel has 26 rooms; doubles, triple and quadruple with a capacity up to 5 people. All the rooms have air conditioning, heating and free wifi. 

Esplai was always a family tradition company linked to the region. Since 2015, Cesc and Alana run the hostel with the aim of modernizing and improve the facilities and services and, at the same time, get back the family tradition image and a nearby treatment as Hostal l'Esplai was always known. 

Surroundings - Empordà 

Hostal l'Esplai is located near of beautiful Costa Brava beaches and the most important tourist attractions of Girona region. For instance, there are "Triangle Dalinià", Natural parc of Cap de Creus, the "Aiguamolls de l'Empordà" (wetland), ruins of Empuries, Jews quartier, natural reserve of Montgrí-illes Medes, medieval towns as Pals, Peratallada, etc. 

We are located in the middle of a countryside, but also near to the beach and charming towns. All of that make the hostel a quite and dinamic place to enjoy a great experience in family. 

Reception and bookings

The hostel is opened from April until September. Our team will help you with everthing possible during the opened months from Monday to Sunday, from 9h to 21h. 

• Check in: 15h to 21h. * If, for any reason, you may not do the check in this periode of time, please contact us as soon as possible and we will agree to an hour. Otherwise, we might not be there for you. 
• Check out: 8h to 11h. * We have a night access for our guests, so in the case that you must check out before 8h, you should tell us in advance. In any case, there is not cafeteria service before 8h. 

You may do the booking directly to our webside at any time. However, if you prefer to contact us or you need more information, we can attend you by telephone or email.
