Hello there! Please read our terms and conditions before making a booking with us to avoid any surprises or penalties and manage expectations.

 

Reception hours:  WE DO NOT HAVE 24 HOUR RECEPTION. Our reception hours for check-in are 09:00-21:00. Beds/rooms are generally ready by 13:00/1pm but you are allowed to leave your bags in our reception area if you arrive before your bed/room is ready. If you want secure locked storage before your bed/room is ready, we can direct you to a nearby self-service locker facility. If within our cancellation period, you discover you are unable to arrive for check-in during our reception hours, payment of the first night is due. If you have more than one night booked, we will expect you the following day or your reservation will be canceled and you will be charged in full as a no show. No shows will be charged the full amount. Payments made for late cancellation/late arrival/no shows cannot be credited to a future stay.
 
Late arrivals:  Our reception hours are 09:00-21:00 and we cannot acccept late arrivals for check-in. Once you are checked in you are given the keys to come and go as you like. If your flight is delayed or some other circumstance beyond your control makes it not possible to reach us in time, we highly recommend contacting us and letting us know. If one of our volunteer staff members is willing and able to wait for you, you will be charged a €20 late arrival fee required in cash. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THIS SERVICE so you must ask us about it first and wait for our answer. If the service cannot be provided, you will be charged for that night and we will expect you the following day or you will be charged in full as a no show.
 
Restrictions to number of beds, rooms and number of nights:  We have a 7 night maximum stay. We are a small hostel and do not allow groups of 3+ people at a time. If we receive your booking and you exceed our limit, we will have to cancel your reservation and notify you so that you can book elsewhere.
 
Payment:  Payment is due upon arrival. We accept cash in euro, Visa or MasterCard. A valid credit card is required to book with us. The city tourist tax ranges from €3,50 to €5 per person, per night depending on your room type. This tax must be paid IN CASH in euro, so please be prepared.
 
Preauthorization:  We reserve the right to verify the validity of credit cards prior to arrival by pre-authorizing either the first night or the full amount as a guarantee in case of late cancellation or no show. If we are unable to do this, we will contact you and give you the opportunity to update your card. If we are unable to preauthorize, we will cancel your reservation.

Cancellation & Changes Policy:  You have 72 hours in advance of your arrival date (not including the arrival date) to cancel or modify a reservation without penalty. A late cancellation will result in a cancellation charge of the first night of your stay. A no show will result in the full amount of your stay being charged. Any changes to a reservation that shorten a stay must be made 72 hours in advance of your arrival, or the payment of the original number of nights will be due.
 
Force Majeure:  In the event of Force Majeure (illness, accident, death in the family, government action, transportation cancellations or delays, terrorist attacks, pandemics or anything else outside of your or our control) affecting your booking or arrival day/time, non-refundable reservations are still non-refundable and we reserve the right to charge the first night or no-show as per our normal policy. Payments made in advance for other reasons are also non-refundable and credits will not be given for future use.
 
Additional policies & procedures:  
1. At check-in, we require a current valid passport or EU identity card for registration. We do not keep these documents, they are given back to you during the check-in process. 
2. Age Restrictions: No guests over 50 years of age and no minors under 12 years of age are allowed in our dorms. This applies only to dorms and not our private rooms. If you have reserved in the dorm and arrive for your reservation and are over 50 or have a child under 12, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and you will be charged the first night. Guests under 18 years of age not traveling with a parent staying in any room type must contact us so that we can provide a permission form to be filled in and signed by the parent and a copy of that parent's passport must be presented at check-in. 
3. Bed allocation -  Neither bottom nor top bunks can be reserved or guaranteed.
4. Towels are not available for dorm stays. They are available for rent for €2 for the duration of the stay. Private rooms are provided with 1 large towel per person. Towels and linens in private rooms are not changed except halfway through a stay of 5-7 nights.

Hostel damages and key loss/damage: Guests are expected to reimburse us for any damages caused during their stay. Keys lost, damaged, or not turned in at check-out will incur a replacement fee of €50. We will reimburse this fee (minus the cost of duplication) if the keys are returned to us as soon as possible by courier or post.

Personal Property:  It is a guest's responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are secure at all times. We provide small lockers for small valuables in the dorms and safes in private rooms so please use them. We accept no liability for the loss, theft, or damage to guests' property. If you have left an item behind and want it returned, we only work with Mailboxes Etc. who provide an inclusive service of packaging materials, packing and shipping of item. They will contact you to let you know payment amount and a link to make payment. We do not provide any additional services for returning left items. Their service is not inexpensive, so we strongly encourage keeping track of your belongings and not leaving items behind especially items of high value.

Alcohol & marijuana & other recreational drugs:  We will not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. At our staff’s discretion, we can choose to stop serving you alcohol if you are exhibiting the behavior of excessive alcohol consumption. Marijuana is not allowed to be smoked in or on our property and other recreational drug use is also not tolerated.
 
No hate: Racist, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff, local residents and property. Any guest(s) who compromises the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff, or local residents will be asked to leave our premises and will not be given a refund.
 
Pets: Small sized dogs only are allowed in private rooms but must be requested in advance. Dogs are not allowed to stay in the room without the owner present. Dogs are not allowed in the dorms. If you have a larger authorized guide-dog (not an emotional support dog) please contact us. Cats and other animals are not allowed.
