Porto is the second largest city and the capital of the North of Portugal.
The city is a national treasure by UNESCO due to its wonderful monuments and historical buildings such as the Cathedral (Sé do Porto), Torre dos Clérigos, stock exchange Palace (Palácio da Bolsa), and many others.
It is a city with a rich history is located in the place where the river Douro unite with the ocean. Porto intensively reconstruct its historical part, thanks to the restoration program, which allows investors to do it on concessional terms. Over the past five years in Porto and Lisbon have restored more than 30% of the old buildings. And, of course, Porto is associated with port wine, unique in its kind. In the upper reaches of the river Douro, 70 km from Porto, begins the territory where grown grapes from which are geting the noble wine. At an altitude of 500 m along the coast are numerous vineyards and patrimony where the port wine production begins. Wine cellars themselves are in Porto at the left bank of the river Douro.
