Once a convent, then a 19th-century silkworm farm (magnanerie), Domaine de Bagard is now a genuine 11-hectare haven of peace, nestled on the slopes of the scrubland hills (garrigue). Here, in the heart of the Cévennes foothills, nature reigns supreme: a natural spring flows through the grounds, while the Vidourle river drifts peacefully below.

A Village Spirit 

Our 21 cottages (gîtes), set amidst this historic stonework, offer a rare sense of authenticity. Staying with us feels like living in a small Southern French village: peaceful, rejuvenating, and warm.

Relaxation and Togetherness Above All 

Bask in the Southern sun and enjoy our two swimming pools (open from May to September) and our many sports facilities: gym, pétanque court, volleyball, and more. In summer (July-August), the heart of the Domaine beats at La Guinguette. It is the unmissable meeting place to share an aperitif platter, host a barbecue (BBQ available), or simply enjoy the balmy evenings under the trees.

A Gourmet Bonus: The "M’a Pizza" food truck visits on Sunday evenings, and don't miss our famous Paëlla Night on Thursdays!

We have thought of everything to ensure your peace of mind:

• Anti-Mosquito Zone: The pool area and La Guinguette are protected by highly effective mosquito-capture traps.

• Digital Detox: Our thick, historic stone walls may limit Wi-Fi reception inside the cottages. It’s the perfect excuse to unplug! (Free Wi-Fi is available in the common areas).

• Green Mobility: An electric vehicle charging station (22kW) is available on-site.
