This doorway takes you into our small, exquisitely updated inn where you will be greeted with warm hospitality and treated to an experience that feels like home

Our 7 intimate and comfortable rooms are the perfect location to fully experience the magic and beauty of Cortona, Tuscany & Umbria.  Just like a private home, our Inn offers guests the ability to experience a romantic getaway or combine other rooms at the inn for a wonderful time to share with family or friends.  

The entire experience of your stay has been crafted to provide you with the warmest hospitality, full of special little touches to create an overall environment that welcomes everyone who passes through our door as “amici”, or friends. 

We created a place for new and for long-time friends that will leave its mark on your heart, long after you depart.  

The name, like everything about the experience, was carefully chosen as La Locanda agli Amici. In English this means “the friends’ Inn.”

Our Property

Set on top of a hill in a quiet area just outside the walls of Cortona, Locanda agli Amici has 7 rooms equipped with all the comforts of home.  Each is unique in style and size but all reflect an ambience of friendship and coziness, providing guests an opportunity to spend quality time together, as a couple or as a group.

The panoramic views of the valley below Cortona (the “Valdichiana”) and the surrounding hills of nearby Umbria and Lake Trasimeno will greet guests from the windows of many of our guest rooms.  These views are yours to discover each morning and evening as beautiful artwork on your walls.  For all of our guests, the glimpses of the Tuscan landscape from our common areas–the breakfast room, our terrace and our swimming pool–will simply take your breath away.

These shared amenities are the finishing touches that create an atmosphere of true friendship, where each guest is the center of our attention and feels totally “at home.”

The breakfast service is an important “pampering” provided for our friends. With the arrival of warm weather, breakfast will move from the panoramic views of our inside breakfast room to our terraces overlooking the beauty of Tuscany & Umbria.
