It is a village, which has been built in two sections, the mountainous part and the coastal part of the village, the Pano Stalos (upper Stalos), and Kato Stalos (lower Stalos).

Stalos is located just 7 km from the exceptionally beautiful Venetian Harbor of Chania. Between Kalamaki and Agia Marina.

Stalos is well developed and attracts a large number of visitors each summer.  Its opposite of the island of St. Thodorou (Theodore) and just a short time away from famous beaches such as Balos and Elafonisi.

The sandy beach is very well organized and provides any required touristic services.

Pano Stalos, located 150m southern, is a beautiful traditional village, surrounded by green hills and amazing formations of rocks. A walking distance, area that offers bars, restaurants and taverns with unique tastes of the Cretan Cuisine. Stalos is an ideal place to stay for holiday. It is close to the city of Chania and offers all necessary services to its visitors. There are also regular bus services to the city of Chania.
