How To Get Here…

In general, having a car facilitates most travel in Tunisia, especially outside major cities, but it is not a requirement.

If you arrive from the airport, we can arrange for your transfer to Villa Sounine (which is generally preferable after a tiring trip).

Public transport, mainly by "louage" (collective taxi) is very inexpensive, but also restrictive, and rather suitable for those who want a total immersion experience in the local culture.

Once Arrived, How Do You Get From Place to Place…

At the Villa, you can use the local taxis for your transportation around the area. If you mainly want to rest, this may be an appropriate solution and the most viable.

If, on the other hand, you plan to do a lot of walks and excursions throughout the region, it's better to opt for a car, which will make your life much easier and will be cheaper in the end!

Directions from Tunis to Villa Sounine

From the airport, follow the direction to Bizerte and take the highway. Leave it at the first exit (Utique). Follow the indications to Ras-Jebal. At the first roundabout you’ll take on the left side, then, after a few km, you’ll turn on the right side, still following the indications to Ras-Jebal. The road goes straight, crosses several villages and the highway, and takes you to another roundabout. There you go straight to Aousja. After Aousja, the road turns a lot, gets up and down, and bring you to the last roundabout. There you take on the right (Raf-Raf/Sounine), and after 700 m, the road on your left (Sounine is indicated). Go ahead, until you come to the village, and then continue on the same road to cross all the village, to go down to the sea (there is a road at the right hand side that goes up to Raf-Raf, don’t take it!).  When the sea is in front of you, take the little road on the right and go ahead for 800 m, it’s the very last house you can see on the hill... You will find a small road that goes up on your right, which leads you to the house and the parking space. All the entrance area is build with natural stones, so you will easily recognize it.
