La dimora del Marinaio - Amalfi

LA DIMORA DEL MARINAIO is a nice small apartment in a quiet position, situated at a short distance from the Cathedral of Amalfi. It sleeps two people.

It is approximately 25 square and consists in a room with a double bed, a small well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom; it features air conditioning/heating and free Wi-Fi service. It is a very quiet and light apartment with a double bed (Italian size:160 cm. large). The small kitchen is equipped with a four electric cooker, a small fridge, an Italian-style coffee maker (Bialetti) and an electric kettle. The bath is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, and a fully enclosed shower.

This apartment is located on the second floor of an ancient building. You will reach it from the street level following a short public walkway that crosses the historical centre of Amalfi and includes approximately 20 stairway steps. No elevator.

You will have the chance to breathe the characteristic and spirited mood of the city as well as enjoy a wide gastronomic offer of typical restaurants and find every shopping opportunity.

The beach, the ferries to Salerno, Capri, Positano, Sorrento and Ischia and the SITA bus (Amalfi – Sorrento line) are at 300 meters.

You will not need a car to stay at LA DIMORA DEL MARINAIO. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, for a fee, in a private parking lot.

Apartment located in the centre of Amalfi, five minutes walking distance from the famous square with a Duomo of the 1200.

Amalfi is an internationally known tourist town thanks to its natural beauties and its mild climate. Its history, its landscapes, the sea, the monuments are a wonderful and unique cocktail.

Situated between the Lattari mounts, rich of citrus groves, and the sea, Amalfi is the pearl of the coast to which it gives the name.

The town is made of white houses on the rocks, with narrow streets and staircases, and it is situated in the valley of Canneto river. The solar and wonderful nature creates a magic atmosphere.

The most important monument in Amalfi is the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew, with the great staircase made of 57 steps, the dreamed destination of all the lovers of the world.

The tourist port is very well equipped to allow visitors to go to the beautiful beaches of Amalfi, such as that of Santa Croce. The port is the place from where all the excursions to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and Napoli leave.

Each four years, in June, the port is the theatre of the traditional boat-race “Regata Storica delle Repubbliche Marinare”, in Middle Ages costumes.
